Drew Brees - A Real Saint He persisted. He hung in there. And for a time, people even started feeling sorry for his backup, a guy who was drafted VERY high and has never started in a professional football game. But now, it's Drew Brees turn to garner our sympathy. You see, the big-bad-wolf is right there, in San Diego, and he hapens to be the guy who let Drew Brees go - right when he was turning the franchise around with stellar play. I guess no one's job is safe in the NFL. 9-7 isn't good enough to keep your job these days, it has to be 11-5 or better. Even if you brought us to the playoffs last year, Drew, what have you done for me LATELY? So now you are consigned to the NFL junkyard - The New Orleans Saints. Where careers are buried forever. Will it be that way for you, Drew? Say it Saint so. |

Between Brees and the return of Deuce McAllister the Saints are really in great shape and a good receiving corps, the Saints will be in better shape than ever. Hopefully the Superdome gets finished soon so the city can come see a team that might finally be ready to play. |
