Edgerrin James Brings the Cardinals a REAL running game - and a very dangerous team

When Edgerrin James signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals, a lot of people were really unhappy about it.

J.J. Arrington, Marcel Shipp, and every other non-entity running back the Arizona Cardinals have ever had, to be exact.

OK so we really have no idea how those guys felt. But I can tell you that Arizona fans everywhere - both of them - are excited to see this development.

With the addition of James, the Cardinals don't have to sling it downfield all day long anymore. That offensive strategy worked well for them, but only to a point - it always seemed that the Cardinals were coming back from a huge deficit to possibly force overtime.

Not anymore. James has been working hard in the offseason and would like nothing more than to prove to his detractors that the Indianapolis Colts offense was more than just Peyton Manning's arm.

The fact that he has so much to prove will be reason enough for the Cardinals' running game to finally succeed, but in addition to adding a quality RB they added a lot to the offensive line this year, a line that already has a great pass-protection scheme and now looks to open up the running game as well.

It is just plain weird to say it, but here it is - with Edgerrin, Anquan, Larry, and Dennis Green, I think the Cards are headed to the big dance. The Power Bowl. The Lover's Quarrel.

Seriously.
